🌿 The Creative Pause: A Mind & Body English Weekend Retreat 09-11.10.2026

Breathe in…

Step away from the busyness of everyday life and join us for a restorative autumn weekend designed to nourish your body, calm your mind, and reconnect you with your inner rhythm.

This Creative Pause retreat invites you to slow down, soften into the body, and explore the cyclical nature of being a woman. Through mindfulness, yoga, art therapy, intuitive and body-based work, meaningful conversations, time in nature, a mindful hike to Ralsko, a Saturday evening bonfire and nourishing vegetarian food, we will create space for rest, reflection, creativity and connection.

Together, we’ll move, pause, breathe, create, walk, share, listen and simply be. All activities are completely voluntary, so you can choose your own pace and take from the weekend what you need most.

All instruction will be in intermediate level English. So if English isn’t your native language, don’t worry. You will understand us and each other perfectly.

About Us

Hi, I’m Asia! I’m originally from Poland but have called Prague home since 2007. I’m an English teacher and mindfulness and language coach with a love for meaningful conversations, creative learning, somatic and body work as well as gentle self-discovery. I work with women who want to reconnect with English—and with themselves—through experiential workshops, coaching, and community. I have a Czech husband and two lively kids, who keep me on my toes. I love yoga, dancing, nature walks, movement, coffee with friends, and moments of quiet reflection (whenever they happen!)

Hi, my name is Jen Hill! I’m from Canada, and I’ve lived in the Czech Republic for ten years. I’m an English language guide or coach, working freelance from my home (mostly online). I’m a writer, a medicine maker, an avid reader, and a seeker of all things Divine. I live in Prague with my dog, Freya, and lots of cheerful houseplants and herbs. I enjoy meditation, shamanic journeying, cooking (and eating!), and taking long walks in the nature with my friends.

Hi, my name is Stefania Martinez and I’m a writer and an art therapist. I work with creativity, conscious femininity, and the wisdom of the body. I am passionate about aromatherapy, bodywork, and simple energy-regulating practices. They help me stay balanced as a highly sensitive person who often floats among dreams yet also seeks grounding in the earth. I enjoy weaving these elements into my sessions so that everyone can explore their inner world with softness and safety. At the retreat I will guide an art therapy session inspired by our inner goddesses, symbolism, and intuitive expression. I live near Prague with my family. When I am not creating or writing I practice yoga, read, craft, and walk by the river because its steady rhythm always brings me peace.

Hi, I’m Eva! I’m a certified yoga teacher and I’m really passionate about helping people feel good in their bodies and calm their minds. For me, yoga is a wonderful way to find a little peace in our busy lives, and I love sharing that with others. At the retreat, I’ll be leading some gentle yoga sessions focused on breathing. This lesson will help you move freely, let go of stress, and just feel more connected to yourself – and you don’t even need to change from your pajamas, you can come as you are and gently stretch with us! I’m looking forward to sharing this special weekend with you!

What did the ladies say about The Creative Pause weekend?

“I enjoyed the weekend so so much:):). The venue and food were perfect! I felt very safe, well cared, I could really rest. During the activities we went out of our comfort zone, but only a bit, and I really appreciate that because that way it was such a pleasurable pause from the stressful everyday life. There was no pressure, no stress at all- all the activities were well designed and flexible, following the group energy at the same time. The discussions were deep and inspiring. You created a really safe and warm container for us. I also enjoyed the company of great women and a sense of community. Thank you very much 🙏🧡🧡🧡.”

“The only thing I could complain about was that I think weekends should have started earlier. For the first time ever, I didn’t have to be responsible for anything. I completely switched off and forgot all my worries. I allowed myself to be open, vulnerable and perfectly imperfect. Thank you!”

“There was a nice energy from the whole group, acceptable, gentle and lovely. The program and activities were amazing, mindful, creative. I enjoyed that we did lots of self-reflective activities and could connect with ourselves. I gained more mental energy during the whole weekend and practices which I can integrate into my daily life. After this weekend I believe that creativity can heal us.”

“I enjoyed the beautiful cottage near the woods and the company – I was amazed and grateful for how all of us were open and how quickly we went into the deep and personal matters. I loved the variety – it worked for me better than to be focused just on one thing.”

đŸ’« Full Workshop Descriptions

If you are curious about the particular sessions and workshops below is a more detailed description of what to expect:

19:00 | Welcoming Circle – Arrive, Connect, Land

On Friday evening, we will begin our weekend together with a welcoming circle led by Asia. This will be a gentle space to arrive, slow down and ground ourselves after the journey.

Through simple body-based practices, nervous system regulation exercises and mindful sharing, we will begin to connect with ourselves, our bodies and the women in the circle. Together, we will slowly enter the space we will be creating throughout the weekend. A space of presence, trust, curiosity and connection.

09:00–13:00 | Mindful Hike to Ralsko: Walking Through Our Inner Season with Asia (Saturday)

On Saturday, we will set out from RĂĄj pod Ralskem for a mindful hike to Ralsko, creating space to slow down, breathe, and connect with the natural world around us.

As we walk through the landscape, we will explore the connection between nature’s cycles and our own inner rhythm. Through short mindful practices, gentle body awareness, reflection prompts and shared conversations, you will be invited to notice what season you are in, what your body is asking for, and how nature can mirror the changes, transitions and wisdom within you.

This hike will be an invitation to walk with presence, listen deeply, and let the forest, the path and the changing landscape guide us into a deeper connection with ourselves and each other.

15:00–18:00 | Her Seasons Within: A Workshop on the Cyclical Wisdom of Womanhood with Asia, Jen and Stefka (Saturday)

After lunch in a 2 part workshop, we will explore the cyclical nature of being a woman, both through the rhythm of the monthly cycle and through the wider seasons of our lives.

Together with Asia, Stefania and Jen, we will gently look at different feminine energies and life phases, from freshness and creative expansion to rest, release and deep inner wisdom. Through body-based practices, intuitive exploration, reflection and sharing, you will be invited to connect with your own rhythm and notice how your energy, needs, creativity and sense of self may shift over time.

This workshop is not about fitting into one idea of femininity. It is an invitation to listen to your body, honor your experience and reconnect with the wisdom already present within you.

A reflective, embodied space to remember that we are not meant to be the same every day. We move in seasons. We change, create, release, rest and return to ourselves again.

after 20h | Evening Bonfire – Stories, Drumming, Connection (Saturday)

As the day settles, we gather around the fire for an evening of drumming, gentle rhythm and ritual, storytelling, and shared presence.
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move into the sauna for a different kind of soothing atmosphere.

08:00–09:00 | Yoga with Eva – Ground & Awaken (Sunday)

We’ll begin the day with a gentle yoga stretch led by certified yoga teacher Eva Kurovcová. This morning session will help you connect with your body, ground yourself, and ease into the flow of the day with calm and presence. No previous experience needed—just come as you are and enjoy a mindful start.

10:00–13:00 | Portrait of the Inner Goddess: An Art Therapy Journey with Stefania (Sunday)

In this Sunday morning art therapy session, guided by Stefania, we will enter a creative process of meeting an inner feminine figure. She may appear as an inner goddess, guide, companion, wise woman, wild woman, protector, child, creatrix, or someone entirely unexpected.

Through watercolor, collage, intuitive drawing and writing, we will allow images, faces, shapes and symbols to emerge without forcing them into a specific role or archetype. Instead of deciding in advance who we are creating, we will listen to what wants to appear.

This process invites us into a deep, almost dreamlike journey into our personal and collective world of feminine archetypes, symbols and inner voices. At the end, there will be space for reflection, journaling or sharing in the circle. We may also write a short story, myth or message from the figure we have created.

A gentle but powerful creative encounter with the part of ourselves that may need to be seen, strengthened, understood or welcomed at this moment in life.

14:00 | Closing Circle – Reflect & Carry It Forward (Sunday)

Before we part ways, we’ll gather one last time to reflect on the weekend—what we’ve experienced, discovered, and shared. The closing circle is a space to gently land, express gratitude, and carry the insights from our time together into daily life. We’ll wrap up with a nourishing vegetarian lunch to send you off with a full heart (and belly).
